ceramics bisqued ready to glaze.. with only 2 hours and the glazes need to be made as you go... very different systems... and only a few samples for what they look like... and broken translations... miscommunication at the ceramic studio continues... so no idea what things will look like

so.. first one... is.. the red glaze is a dark red apparently.. brownish probably.. the purple will turn a pale yellow/mustard meets brown? the white at the bottom is shino, which is a traditional thick white glaze with solid thick layering effects... the light blue is a 'blue' i'm assuming indigo-ish but no idea... may also be cobalt based... and the grey small is a touch of black...

super dark clay... darkgrey... with shino at the bottom, heavy layered, black on the sides with smooth thin white in the midle, with a curve of red/brown at the top...

brushed black at the bottom, with brushed blue around, and a green that turns to red if there isnt enough oxygen around, which will probably be the case in the kiln? not sure... ugh i can't read my notes on this one, there are red and yellow dots around as well and all over glazed white in between the colours... i think...

then this one, with pinkish redish on the left, with blue above it, then some red and black and some green that might turn to red.. and in between is mixed between clear and white

then there is these cutie pies... with yellow, green that turns to red and brown/red, with clear in between (larger one on the left). middle one is shino and a touch of black - simple, and the little ball blob is blue black and green that might be red on the dark clay...

they said there wouldn't be enough room in the kiln so none of the works i did in the first class will be fired again, which is kind of sad... but whatever... lets see what these ones will be like... tuesday evening... hope they don't crack...
